Thank you for stopping by! You have landed at the blog space for EverAfter Fairytale Couture, where we are sew-happy to share our love of costuming and theatrical tricks-of-the-trade that you yourself can do with a little costume experience or a lot.
I promise I am finished with the sewing puns. :)
A little about us: I am Abby and I do the blogs around here. I am also a seamstress with more than 15 years of costume and stagecraft experience including stage carpentry, scenic painting, props making, stage management, stage lighting, and design skills in all aspects. I am also a COMPLETE and TOTAL nerd for historical, fantasy, and sci-fi clothing, especially if it is well-made. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and do all kinds of "research" (basically meaning surfing the web and Pinterest for hours on end looking at pretty pictures) on various styles so that I can one day re-create them.
The other half of our team is Kerry. Kerry is a seamstress like you read about. She is also extremely talented in textile art and makes beautiful art dolls (which you can find for sale in her Etsy shop, "moonspinnersarts"). She dreams in design and is constantly developing new and original takes on classic concepts. Kerry has worked for Performing Arts Supply Company--a Houston-based costume design and rental house--for over 16 years.
Kerry and I each owned our own businesses prior to EverAfter, but decided to combine our efforts so that we could produce more designs and reach more people. We have similar visions for serving people and helping costume lovers look fabulous and feel great. We have a commitment to quality, originality, and giving our designs and service a personal touch. We love to make friends from all over the world through giving our best efforts to help people realize their dream garments.
